CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION POLICE NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS

PROESTRUTURA designers assign the architecture and headquarters infrastructures for the new Criminal Investigation Police of Guinea-Bissau, to be built in Bra, in a near future. Located on the north exit of Bissau city, in a lot site of 35822m2, with average size dimensions: 138m width and 260m length.
PROESTRUTURA technicians developed the building complex from the beginning, giving all the necessary consultancy services to the local authorities, based on their previous experience in the design and the construction of Police and Judicial buildings and facilities.
The building presents a modern and strong image, similar to a military complex; it develops a plan closed on itself, creating an internal courtyard that makes the physical and visual convergence of all services. The building height varies from one to four levels above ground floor and also a basement floor. The total construction area is 13735m2, 1517m2 in the basement floor.
The complex consists basically on 4 sectors: the Criminal Investigation Police main facilities, the Forensics Science Laboratory, the Prison Zone and the Pistol Fire Range.
Inside the complex area, we also design the Forensic Medicine Services, Auto Repair Facilities and social areas, such as the Physical Training and Sports Park, Bar and Restaurant.
All building complex was designed to have fully independent operation from external support facilities and public networks, self-sustaining in renewable energy and water supply infrastructures.
The exterior landscape design benefits the police work infrastructure. The sports park was designed to function as helipad when operationally necessary.
The entire perimeter is protected by walls 4 meters high reinforced concrete and the whole complex is prepared to be equipped with modern electronic surveillance equipment.
